Eating Disorders National Awards

beat is proud to announce the winners of this year’s Eating Disorder National Awards (EDNAs)  Congratulations to:

Joy Jones

Kimmeridge Court Intensive Non-Residential Team

Pam Marshall

Veronica Kamerling & Gill Todd

…and the winners of the inaugural Honorary Eating Disorder National Award:

Channel 4 teen soap Hollyoaks

We got together with the winners at Haberdashers’ Hall in London to celebrate their achievements with a glass or two of champagne. The glamorous evening then continued with the presentation of the awards during beat’s Annual General Meeting.

The EDNAs mean a lot to beat as an organisation: they are our chance to congratulate and thank the many professionals and volunteers who do so much to help in the field of eating disorders. We would also like to congratulate everyone who was nominated for an award, and to thank them for their work.

Finally we would like to thank our sponsors.  Our grateful thanks go to Dove, The Huntercombe Group, Priory Group and St Andrew's Healthcare. Their generous contribution helped us to celebrate our winners and nominees and give them the recognition for their hard work that they deserve.

beat wishes to celebrate the people who have provided extraordinary support and understanding to those affected by an eating disorder, or those who have faced their illness with courage and fortitude. Most people who have been affected have a story to tell – either about that special person who has made a difference – encouraged, inspired, supported and possibly saved lives, or a team who has worked together to find the right way to help an individual overcome their difficulties.
