Fundraise Online
Our top tip is to start your own online fundraising page. You can select beat as your chosen charity - so all donations and gift aid go straight to us without you having to collect sponsorship money. You can then upload some photos and information about your fundraising event, and e-mail your page to your friends, family and colleagues.
It's really easy, just click on either the JustGiving or Virgin Money Giving logos to find our more and to set up your own fundraising page.
Use the media
A great way to publicise your event is to contact your local press and let them know you're fundraising for beat. This is also a perfect chance to raise awareness of eating disorders.
If you've got any questions - or need help drafting a press release please contact Fundraising
The internet is a great way to reach your sponsors. Why not draft up an e-mail about your fundraising and then send it on to all your friends and family - you can also encourage them to forward it on.
Try putting a link to your Justgiving page in your e-mail signature, that way you'll be reminding people every time you send an e-mail.
And try starting up a Facebook group or event, or perhaps plugging your Justgiving page on your Facebook status.
Why not contact your company or your school to see if they offer matched giving? Many companies are willing to give generous contributions to their employees' fundraising.
It also makes it a lot easier to attract individual sponsors. Your friends will be more willing to give when they know their donation is going further.
