The Self Help Network operates support groups across the UK to provide support and information to people whose lives are affected by eating disorders.
Can the Self Help Network help me?
The Self Help Network offers help to people (age 18 or over) with eating distress in various stages of their illness and recovery, and in many different ways. We also offer support for carers and families of individuals with an eating disorder. The Self Help Network can help you if you are not yet in treatment and want some extra help and support to take a first step. It is an ideal aid if you are already in treatment and need some additional support in a safe environment to share your experiences. It can also help you if you have been in recovery for some time, but you still feel like you may need some support occasionally.
The Self Help groups can provide you with an opportunity to meet other people who may be in a similar situation to yourself, and to share experiences or just to listen to others. We also offer support groups for carers, who may be looking after an individual with eating distress.
We would also like to hear your feedback and experiences of the Self Help Network.
