Fundraising

Here at beat our fundraisers play a vital role.

It is thanks to their commitment that we can continue to provide services to those affected by eating disorders. Currently, our services reach thousands of people everyday - with your help, they can grow and reach more.

On these pages, you'll find information on becoming a beat fundraiser but if you have any questions please do give me a call or send me an email.

Thanks - and good luck with your fundraising.

Fundraisers & the beat Awards

Our fundraisers are vital in allowing us to continue to support the thousands of people who contact us for help every year.  As a way to say thank you, we will be inviting some of our fundraisers to join us at the beat Awards as part of our 21st Anniversary celebrations.

Any fundraiser who raises over £500 over the summer or £1000 over the year will be invited to join us at this glittering event on 16th November at London's Banqueting House.

For more details please contact our Fundraising team.

Sky Ride

Sky Ride is a series of regional cycling events ideal for families and friends.  You can cycle around 1 of 12 UK cities.  The rides are non-competitive and traffic free - the cities close their roads during the events.  Why not take part in a Sky Ride and raise money for beat?

When registering for a Sky Ride entrants can chose to register on behalf of beat and set up a JustGiving page to raise funds for our work.

There are many different types of cycle rides to chose from and other great benefits such as 50% of British Cycling Membership.  For more information please visit their website at

Big Fun Runs

The Big Fun Runs are a series of 24 runs taking place across the UK and are a great way to raise money for beat.  All runs are 5K and take place in scenic parks to provide pleasant and safe running environments.   Running for us also gives you an official charity discount of an £8 entry fee, reduced from £12 (based on an adult) and as little as £5 for concessions.

For more details please visit the Big Fun Run website at www.bigfunrun.com or email fundraising

Alix to tackle historic challenge

beat fundraiser Alix Robertson has decided to swim the famous Gibraltar Strait - and raise thousands of pounds for people affected by eating disorders.

The Strait of Gibraltar is a narrow strip of water connecting the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea. Since the 1920s, only two women have swum the strait.  In September, Alix and her friend Camilla are hoping to double that figure and raise as much money as possible for beat.

For more details and to sponsor Alix and Camilla please visit their website at
