Marathon 2007

London marathon

This year beat had 7 fantastic runners who between them manage to raise £15000! This is an amazing achievement especially as it was one of the hottest marathons on record.

Back again were Team Perry who consisted of Giles Perry, Charlotte Perry, Tom Seymour, Paul Wildman and Doug Sinclair.

Team Perry were joined this year by Catherine Darlington who was taking part in her first marathon.

Nina Day and Stephen Trussell were lucky enough to have their own places in the London marathon but still used it as an opportunity to raise money for beat.

Edinburgh marathon

This was the first year that beat had runners in the Edinburgh marathon who managed to raise over £1600.

Graeme Hewitt, Jack Kelly and Roddy Flynn all successfully completed the marathon and in doing so  raised lots of money for beat.

Needless to say beat is so pleased to have such a dedicated team of supporters who are willing to work so hard in raising money for us - money which will be spent making sure that our services are available when people need them most. The funds raised by the marathon runners will be used to support our helplines, information services, website and self help network - services which will provide the information and support needed to help people overcome their eating disorder.
