Exploring emotional expression

My name is Korina Ioannou and I am a trainee Clinical Psychologist at the University of Manchester. As part of my training, I am undertaking a research project examining links between how women with eating disorders understand and express their emotions and their concerns about their body and weight.

If you think you may be interested in participating in the study you will be requested to email the researcher to request a questionnaire pack and provide an address where this can be sent to you. Participating in the study will require you to sign an enclosed consent form before completing the questionnaires. The questionnaires explore eating and body-image attitudes, symptoms depression, emotional expression, as well as how you make sense of various emotions. There will also be some questions regarding personal information, such as gender, age, marital status and level of education.

Completing the questionnaires should take approximately 30 minutes. Once you have completed them you will be asked to return them to the researcher in an enclosed stamped and addressed envelope, with the completed consent form.

To request a questionnaire pack, obtain further information about the study, or if you have any concerns about participating, you can contact the researchers of this study:
