Eating disorders are hardly ever the result of one issue. It is often a combination of many different factors. It is quite common that a person suffering from an eating disorder will experience other problems also. For example, anxiety, depression or obsessive compulsive disorder. You may find that you have feelings or medical issues that need to be dealt with, alongside treatment for your eating problems. In extreme cases you may find that specialists will not be able to treat the eating disorder until the other issues have been dealt with.
In this section we talk about what some of these different factors and issues can be and offer you links to further information and help. We also have a list of general and more specific websites that may be of help to you.
