Pointless

What’s the use

In starving until you feel weak

Cold and numb

With a false sense of control

Only to fill a basket with

Vile, starchy, * food

Spending too much money

And eating until you cant breathe

Collapsing to the floor

Sobbing until you cant see anymore.

What’s the use

In suppressing hunger

Ignoring your body

Denying all food

Only to chew and swallow

For hour upon hour

100’s grams worth of *

And * and *.

What’s the use

In stepping on those scales every morning

Recording so called progress

Only to see the numbers rise

Over night

Before your own eyes.

What’s the use

In avoiding food,

Locking yourself in your room

Isolated from everyone

Only to find yourself

Unable to stop eating

This pattern it keeps repeating.

I try and I try

To escape this mess

Asking what’s the use

What’s the use

In any of this?

sorry its not creative at all, i just cant seem to write or think really...ive been feeling too depressed. i really like the poems some people have posted on here though, they are really creative and good.
