Beat – the UK's leading eating disorder charity has been wrongly attributed to a quote printed in a Mail Online story 11/12th July. At no time did Beat provide a comment on this issue and the Mail have subsequently removed our name from the quote at our request.
We would not comment on an individual in these circumstances. People come in all shapes and sizes and it is not possible to tell just by looking at someone whether they have an eating disorder.
The fashion industry is beginning to embrace diversity – we welcome this and would encourage it wherever possible.
