Self Help and Support Groups
Download the Norfolk Support Groups poster
A support group for people with eating disorders runs monthly in Norwich. An opportunity for anyone with eating distress in various stages of their illness and recovery to meet people who may be in a similar situation.
A support group for carers also runs in Norwich. This group is for anyone caring for someone with an eating disorder. This can include parents, siblings, partners, relatives and friends.

The groups can not offer a diagnosis or clinical support, but provide a confidential, supportive space where people can share experiences, thoughts, problems and successes.

Each group is open to anyone over the age of 18.
The groups are run by Beat trained facilitators.

Norwich Support Groups run on the FIRST TUESDAY of each month at The Charing Cross Centre, 17-19 St. John Maddermarket, Norwich, NR2 1DN
The Charing Cross Centre can be found
here.

Groups run in the same building, but in separate rooms, so both carers/friends/family can attend, at the same time as those with an eating disorder.
The group for carers is held in the Stanley Cooper Hall, and the group for recoverers is held in The Lounge.  A member of the Charing Cross Centre staff will be able to sign post you to the correct room, and signs will be displayed on the wall of the reception area.
