Christmas Appeal - Emma Roper, Head of Fundraising
November 19, 2012 at 10:29 AM
Last week we launched our annual Christmas appeal.
We know that this time of year can be very difficult for families. Our appeal features the stories of two families whose lives have been affected by eating disorders and their particular reflections around Christmas. Jane and Robert tell us about how they will be missing their daughter Mel who died last year and are sharing their story to help stop other families suffering. But the message is also one of hope, that by providing our support we can help a person recover, like Becki who is looking forward to spending Christmas with her husband and two children.
Beat’s helplines will be open throughout the festive period supporting people who are finding it hard to cope. We provide a lifeline but we can’t do it without your help.
We know that everyone has many demands on them for support at this time of year but hope you will be able to help us make a difference by donating to our Christmas appeal. You can make a difference to people who need support to beat their eating disorder and to help us keep the telephone helplines open through Christmas and beyond.
