Hi Flosie

Thanks for the message.

I want to talk to my family about this and I can definitely talk to my mum. She is just so far away from me (250 miles!) that I only have her on the phone and it isnt the same as someone giving you a big cuddle and telling you its okay. She's hopefully coming to see me at the end of the month though so I'm looking forward to that! I havent managed to break it to the Fiance yet but I'll get there.

The book that I have been using advised me to confide in a friend who didnt have an ED and wasnt concerned with body image and weight/dieting. I spoke to her last week and told her everything. She has been so supportive! Shes been on this website and done some research and has offered to help me follow the steps in my self help book. If your friend has an ED you may be able to help each other, just like we all do on here!

If being at your flat causes the panic attacks maybe you could limit the time you are there to mainly just sleeping? Spend time with your friends or studying in a library or cafe and hopefully you can avoid the panics and then when you move out from your flat you'll have a cleaner slate and will be better equipped to combat them.

I have been refused therapy by the NHS so I am going it alone but I know I've got my friend and my mum and my book so I'll be fine. Im not letting it beat me and I'm glad you have taken the same approach.

Good luck and take care!
S xxx
