Message Boards

Welcome to the Beat message boards. The message boards are here to support anyone concerned about themselves or someone else affected by eating disorders or difficulties with food, weight and shape.

We fully appreciate that everyone is affected differently by their eating disorder and will be in varying stages of their recovery. The boards are a place for all of these individuals to communicate find support from peers.

Before posting on the boards, you need to first register on our website. If you are having difficulties registering please email

Moderating the message boards

The Beat message board team moderates all posts before they are posted, to prevent potentially harmful information being shared - we are available to post messages Monday to Friday 9.30am to 5.30pm, and aim to moderate all posts within 48 hours. Currently messages will not be posted on weekends and Bank Holidays.

Please remember the Message Board team is only human. We may post messages in error or there may be technical problems that are out of our control.

How the message boards are moderated

To ensure welfare and safety Beat will moderate the boards in four key areas: keeping safe online, posting mindfully, posting respectfully and posting responsibly.

We know that the majority of people using the message boards will use this support service correctly but we must make sure everyone using them are kept safe from harm which is why we have our message board house rules.
