Sometimes known as ‘Give As You Earn’, payroll giving lets you make tax-free donations to Beat straight from your salary every month so we can carry on supporting those affected by eating disorders.
How does it work?
Giving as you earn is the most tax-effective way of giving to Beat. Your donation will come straight from your monthly salary before tax is deducted. This means if you pledge to donate £10 you’ll pay £8 if you’re on basic rate tax, £6 on 40% tax or £5 on 50% tax and the tax man will make up the difference.
How you’ll be helping
By supporting us on payday each month, you’ll help us to continue to reach out to the 725,000 people affected by an eating disorder in the UK. Knowing we have your regular support allows us to plan ahead and make sure we can put your donation to best possible use.
How do I sign up?
Ask your employer if they have a payroll giving scheme in place. If they do they’ll be able to give you a form to complete, adding Beat as the charity you want to support. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01603 753336 for further information.
If they don’t already take part in payroll giving, why not suggest they do? It’s easy and inexpensive to run – they can find out more by visiting www.payrollgivingcentre.com/employers.htm.
